Project Description
The diorama depicts a wetland habitat, with the typical plants and landforms. The objective was to create an environment that reflects reality as closely as possible, and photographs taken in the area were used in order to recreate the scenery.
The plants are synthetic, and the ground support was made out of polystyrene, onto which plaster was poured, moulded, and subsequently painted with the appropriate colours. The scale model is part of a promotion project for the Iron Gates Natural Park, and it took 20 days to complete.
