Project Description

This scale model represents an industrial Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) designed for integration with photovoltaic power plants and hybrid energy infrastructures. The model illustrates a containerized, modular energy storage solution, including all key components required for efficient energy conversion, storage, and grid interaction.

It features a battery container, bidirectional power conversion systems (PCS / inverters), electrical protection and control cabinets, and a medium-voltage transformer unit, accurately reflecting a real-world utility-scale installation.

Such systems enable energy buffering, peak shaving, load shifting, grid stabilization, and optimized use of renewable energy, ensuring high reliability and operational flexibility for industrial facilities, renewable power plants, and critical infrastructure.

This model is intended as a technical and presentation tool for exhibitions, client demonstrations, and project visualization, providing a clear understanding of the architecture and functionality of modern BESS solutions for energy transition projects.

BESS are advanced technological setups that store energy in rechargeable batteries for later deployment. They are composed of several components, including battery cells, power conversion systems, energy management software, and cooling systems. These systems are highly versatile and can be deployed in residential, commercial, and utility-scale applications.

A model for battery energy storage systems includes not only the batteries themselves but also inverters, controllers, electrical connections, and many other essential components. These components must be arranged as efficiently as possible to allow for easy inspection and maintenance, as well as to create strong connections between systems.

By using a model, the functionality of the system can be tested, including the placement and number of batteries that can be installed. This allows the system to be more easily and cost-effectively adapted to specific needs.
