In creating a miniature model of your intended blueprint, you shouldn’t focus on the house only but also on other important features like trees. If you notice real estate models, you will see how they created such an amazing replica of the lawns and plants, too. It can make you feel confused as to how the architects are able to create tiny leaves and surreal miniature wood for the tree’s trunk.

Gladly, you will be able to learn the step-by-step procedure in creating one for your own miniature models. Here are various techniques in installing one:

Kits for Starters

You can go ahead and purchase some small tree kits for creating miniature models. You can easily purchase around 25 to 40 trees in a single kit at a price of $15-20. The kit also comes with miniature replicas of your desired environment, too. The kit has separate plastic bags for the tree’s “body” and “leaves”.

You will also need a type of adhesive substance such as glue or paste for the tree’s branches. Simply brush small amounts of the adhesive on all branches. Dip the tree into the plastic bag of leaves. Move the tree around to collect more leaves before removing it. Let it dry afterwards before attaching it to your model. Repeat the process on all trees.

Improvised Tree Model

A cheaper alternative is by creating an improvised tree using materials found at home. Use some copper wires as the “trunk and branch”. Afterwards, bundle them together and twist them to form a trunk. Make branches by sticking out some of the bundles of wires as you twist them. Paint the trunk brown to make it realistic. Apply adhesive on the branches once the paint dries up.

Next is to find a scouring pad from an old sponge. Scouring pads are the green rough pads used for scrubbing. Remove it and tear it into many pieces. Roll the trunk over the pieces. The adhesive will stick the torn pieces to the trunk to create a miniature tree. At this point, you can pierce your improvised tree to your model. It’s excellent for saving money.
