Project Description
This is a simple architectural scale model of an energy data center. The energy data center is a rectangular-shaped room with a single door and a big equipment in it. The equipment consumes most of the space in the room so the room is designed considering the size of the equipment. There is also a fire extinguisher that is useful when it comes to emergencies. The model also shows that there are four ventilation fans that will help in reducing the hot air in the equipment and a cooling system that would help in providing cool air for the equipment.
The cooling system is attached to the wall so that the heat from the equipment will be directly disposed outside through the ventilation. This is designed in order to eliminate or reduce the mixing of the cool air supplied to the equipment and the hot air rejected from the equipment. Obstructions above and below the equipment sometimes interfere with the distribution of cooling air. Therefore, a minimum height of 24 inches would be effective in providing raised floor installations. This would prevent the interferences in the distribution of cool air.
