Project Description
This 1:200 scale model was a graduation project for the Ion Mincu University of Architecture and Urbanism in Bucharest.It is a multifunctional centre in Iasi, located right next to the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University (the curved building). The newly-inserted building is made of PVC, while the surrounding area (existing buildings) are made of polystyrene.
The windows are made of semi-opaque Plexiglas in order to hide the internal compartmentalization. The people are represented in black in order to create contrast with the monochrome model. It took 7 days to complete.
