This project is for Spiru Haret Urbanism Faculty. The model aims to introduce an urbanism perspective to the Faculty’s renovation. This model aims to incorporate new structures and designs to the old buildings around the faculty. Pedestrian friendly streets and buildings close to the street so that walking to and fro can just take around 10 minutes or less. Interconnected streets will also disperse traffic. School buildings mixed with shops, restaurants, and residential homes for students and professors, offering diversity. The Faculty structure also introduces Green Transportation wherein bicycles, roller blades, scooters and walking are used as daily transportation. Public open spaces are also noticed with easy access to buildings and streets. This model introduces a more efficient use of services and resources, creating a harmonious, more convenient and enjoyable place to live in.
The model is made of white and red PVC. The streets are in black so that it will stand out. The model’s base is a double cardboard for durability. This project took 5 days to complete.
